Lady Roshawnda James – Director
The Men’s Ministry seeks to empower men to grow into strong disciples by serving as Christ-like examples in the church and the community. We provide a male-focused bible study, mentoring and Christian fellowship events.
The Women’s ministry is passionate about women realizing their value, contributing to the body of Christ, and making divine connections with other women on the same spiritual journey. Our purpose is to create an atmosphere that builds a woman’s heart, her passion for God and her desire to influence those around her.
YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY
The Youth Adult Ministry (YAM) serves ages of 18 and 39 by providing opportunities to fellowship and grow in Christ.
Sis. Nekesha Bownes – Director
We are called to serve this present age in the word and action. Our mission ministry exists to meet the needs of the world beyond the walls of Macedonia. Missions can be seen feeding the hungry, clothing those in need, or even going beyond the United States.
MACEDONIA COMMUNITY GARDEN
Macedonia is located in the City of East St. Louis, an area with a limited food supply. As a church we believe in meeting the needs of our community. Our garden allows us to provide fresh vegetables and fruits to those in need.
Politics and social justice are important aspects of life. Our civic responsibility ministry engages these two spheres with the compassion, concern, and righteous conviction of the Lord.
Our Manna Pantry is a full-service pantry providing food and clothing to the community. We operate Thursday’s from 1pm-3pm.
Deacon Damon Green – Director
The Courtesy Ministry serves by greeting and welcoming members and visitors to our worship experience. It is our desire for each person we come in contact with will feel the love of Christ. This ministry also provides opportunities for growth in the areas of public speaking and the Gift of helping.
The Culinary Ministry provides nourishing meals for congregants and the community with Christ-like service for community and Church events.
The Usher Ministry helps parishioners have a safe and orderly experience at Macedonia. We desire to create an atmosphere of reverence and order in the church building.
Bro. Jarrod Hill – Director
The Music Ministry provides theologically sound music for all regular worship services, revivals, funerals and special concerts. The music ministry includes all choirs and praise team.
The Praise Dance Ministry strives to be an extension of God’s word by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ through dance. Our purpose and desire is to be used as vessels of our Lord and Savior to bring forth deliverance and salvation to God’s people.
The media ministry of Macedonia encompasses our audio and visual team, social media team, and a publicity team. These components allow what we do here to reach the world beyond our walls.
The photography ministry captures the whole ministry work of Macedonia. They can be found in our worship experience or any of our events, as we capture memories for a lifetime.
Deacon Carolyn Brooks – Director
The Christian Education Ministry provides programs that equip believers in discipleship. We provide spiritual growth enrichment in the areas of biblical teaching, doctrine, service and education; living out our call to fulfill the Great Commission.ts.
Macedonia’s Children’s Church serves youth ages 4-12, the first and third Sunday of each month, providing a safe, age-appropriate worship experience focused on children and building their relationship with Christ and their understanding of the Bible.
As a part of our Christian education ministries, Sunday School is a space where disciples can journey through different topics for their spiritual growth. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are virtually meeting every Sunday at 9am cst.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Our summer experience is an opportunity for the entire family to engage in a topical study together for a week. In the end you are able to add to your spiritual understanding and hopefully would have gained some new friends in Christ.
Pastor J. Kevin James, Jr. – Director
The Associate Ministers of Macedonia are extensions of the Pastor in congregational care and service. Our ministers are licensed and/or ordained in order to serve out the Great Commission.
The Deacons of Macedonia are servants, both male and female, called of God to assist the Pastor in the congregational care of the church.
Our sainted mother’s are praying women full of wisdom. They assist the Senior Pastor in interceding for the membership and world in prayer. Our mother’s board offers seasoned spiritual counsel to our congregation at large.
PASTOR AGAPE MINISTRY
The Pastor Agape Ministry serves as a spiritual and emotional support system for the pastor, as well as his family. The Pastor Agape Ministry also sees that the church recognizes the Pastor on special occasions.
Macedonia is a church built up by prayer. Our intercessors are individuals that stand in the gap through prayer for the church and beyond. Join the prayer team every Thursday at 12 on our conference call.
Trustee Lorraine McKinney – Director
Our finance team are individuals empowered to help with the effective stewardship of our finances, receive payments, process and keep accurate financial records for the church.
The Trustees of Macedonia manages, distributes and monitors the general financial affairs and assets of the church. They hold in trust legal documents of the property and other business. Trustee’s monitor and follow church policies and procedures for financial matters.
Pastor J. Kevin James, Jr. – Director
The church clerk manages Macedonia’s membership records as well as other tasks such as helping bereaved families, funeral planning, and other ministry support.
NEW HARVEST MINISTRY
The New Harvest Ministry ensures that all New Members make a smooth and comfortable transition into their new Church family. We serve as a starting point for New Members to become familiar with fellow members, facilities, regular schedule church such as Bible Study, Sunday School and other church ministries.
Macedonia is a growing ministry, our census team serves to capture the full picture of membership and its demographics.
Sis. Charlotte Cotton – Director
HEALTH UNIT MINISTRY
The Health Unit provides emotional support during worship services and special events. This unit also promotes health and wellness education programs. In addition to seminars for the congregation and community. They assist with preparing the pulpit for the Pastor during morning worship.
CIRCLE OF HOPE EMPOWERMENT MINISTRY
The Circle of Hope Empowerment Ministry is a confidential group for families of those suffering from drug and alcohol addiction. Our ministry provides a safe and supportive atmosphere for you to receive spiritual and practical healing while walking alongside family members suffering from addiction.
